PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation unit which can generate a hydrogen-containing liquid more easily than conventional hydrogenation equipment.SOLUTION: A vessel provided with a water-repellent hydrogen permeable film accommodates: a hydrogen-generating agent that generates hydrogen when containing water; water; and non-outflow-state maintaining means for maintaining the water in a non-outflow state in which the water does not react with the hydrogen-generating agent. The non-outflow-state maintaining means changes the water in the non-outflow state into an outflow state in which the water can react with the hydrogen-generating agent, by applying a predetermined amount of energy thereto from outside the vessel. The application of the energy triggers the reaction of the water in the outflow state with the hydrogen-generating agent, and the hydrogen generated inside the vessel is discharged through the water-repellent hydrogen permeable film to generate the hydrogen-containing liquid. |
