PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate the lifetime of a pipe bender gripping tool of the prior art, because the abrasion resistance is not sufficient to abrade on a gripped face.SOLUTION: The gripping face of a pipe gripping tool of a pipe bender is electrically deposited with diamond and/or cBN abrasive grains having a granularity equal to or higher than 500 meshes and equal to or lower than 30 meshes and a Young's modulus exceeding 760 GPa by a nickel plating. As a result, the wear of the gripping face can be drastically reduced, and the pipe is not worn so that the lifetime of the gripping tool can be remarkably elongated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
