PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate botheration of operating an umbrella in an ordinary use by providing means for releasing a function of an intermediate-part locking part for fixing a sliding runner in a half-opened state.SOLUTION: An umbrella comprises: an upper runner provided at a tip of an umbrella shaft 2; a rib tiltably pivoting a base part to the upper runner; an umbrella cloth to be fixed to the rib; a sliding runner slidably provided to the umbrella shaft 2; stretchers for tiltably connecting the sliding runner and an intermediate part of the rib at both ends; upper-part locking means that locks the sliding runner at the upper part of the umbrella shaft 2 for fixing the umbrella in a completely spread state; a lower-part locking means that locks the sliding runner at a lower part of the umbrella shaft 2 for fixing the umbrella in a completely closed state; an intermediate-part locking means 10 that locks the sliding runner at an intermediate part of the umbrella shaft 2 for fixing the umbrella in a half-opened state; and function release means 11 that releases the function of the intermediate-part locking means for preventing the sliding runner from being fixed at the intermediate part of the umbrella shaft 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
