摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a highly accurate automatic focus adjustment possible even when a subject is dark in an imaging device making a phase difference method automatic focus adjustment on an imaging plane.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a pixel unit that has a unit pixel including a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements and a transfer part provided in each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements arranged in a matrix shape; an image pick-up element that includes a vertical scan circuit controlling an operation of respective rows of the pixel unit; and a control unit that controls the vertical scan circuit so as to read a signal of the photoelectric conversion element of a part of the unit pixel and a signal of the photoelectric conversion element of a part different from the part thereof, or signals of all photoelectric conversion elements in the unit pixel. The control unit is configured to control the vertical scan circuit so that the vertical scan circuit mixes signals of the unit pixels of the number of prescribed rows when reading the signal of the photoelectric conversion element of the part of the unit pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
