PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus characterized by (i) a mechanism that is prevented from becoming larger, (ii)(iii) an eliminated need for prior knowledge regarding the weight, kind, and number of pieces of detachable components which are attached and detached, and (iv) and eliminated need for calibrating each individual component.SOLUTION: The X-ray diagnostic apparatus comprises: an attach/detach detecting unit 38 for detecting attachment or detachment of a detachable component 37; a rotation detection unit 39 for detecting the rotation of a motor 35; a torque adjustment unit 51 for adjusting the torque of the motor 35; and a torque detection unit 52 for detecting the torque of the motor 35 when the motor 35 stops rotating. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus: releases the brake when detecting attachment or detachment of the detachable component; detects the rotation of the motor 35 due to unbalance between a vertical movement unit 33 and a counter weight 34 when the brake is released; adjusts the torque of the motor so as to stop the detected rotation of the motor 35; and maintains the balance between the vertical movement unit 33 and the counter weight 35 by continuing to provide the torque upon the motor 35 stopping rotating for the motor 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
