PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weighing system that can quickly, easily and accurately set an electronic balance and an electronic balance for use in the system.SOLUTION: A bar code 31 for use in setting an electronic balance 1 is held in an operation manual (information holding medium) 3. A bar code reader 2 reads the bar code 31 from the operation manual 3. The electronic balance 1 has an automatic setting processor 22 that automatically accomplishes, on the basis of the bar code 31 read out by the bar code reader 2, setting that matches the bar code 31. In this way, the electronic balance 1 can be set without complicated key operation and moreover wrong key operation can be prevented, with the result that the electronic balance 1 can be quickly, easily and accurately set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
