PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measurement system that allows a distance measurement to be implemented at timing along an intension of a user.SOLUTION: Both of a vehicle 1 and an electronic key 2 are configured to mutually transmit a UWB radio wave Suwb at a random pattern when executing distance collation, and in both of the vehicle 1 and the electronic key 2, timing information when transmitting/receiving the UWB radio wave Suwb, that is, transmission timing information and reception timing information are respectively measured. The electronic key 2 is configured to transmit the acquired transmission/reception timing information to the vehicle 1, and the vehicle 1 is configured to obtain a propagation time of the UWB radio wave Suwb for each set of transmitted/received UWB radio waves Suwb on the basis of the transmission/reception timing information owned by the vehicle 1 and the transmission/reception timing information acquired from the electronic key 2; and measure a distance between the vehicle 1 and the electronic key 2 on the basis of the obtained propagation time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
