PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably execute a restart of an engine and thereby allowing a vehicle to be appropriately moved.SOLUTION: An ECU 21 stops an engine 11 when a predetermined automatic stop condition is met while an own vehicle is traveling and restarts the engine 11 when a predetermined restart condition including release of brake operation is met. In particular, the ECU 21 determines: whether or not the brake operation is released during a predetermined vehicle stop period after an automatic stop of the engine 11 and immediately before the own vehicle is stopped; and whether or not a predetermined condition indicating that the own vehicle is in a state requiring acceleration is met. The ECU 21 does not restart the engine 11 when determining that the brake operation is released but the predetermined condition is not met in the vehicle stop period and restarts the engine 11 when determining that the brake operation is release and the predetermined condition is met in the vehicle stop period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
