PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust positions of suspension ropes and a distance between ropes just by upward warp wheels.SOLUTION: An elevator includes: first and second elevator units 1, 2 capable of vertically moving in an elevator hoistway H; one or a plurality of pieces of belt-shaped suspension ropes 3a, 3b, 3c for mutually connecting the elevator units 1, 2; a drive wheel 5 for moving the belt-shaped suspension ropes; and upward warp turning wheels 4, 6. The belt-shaped suspension ropes continuously have a first rope section a extending to the first elevator unit 1 from the drive wheel 5 via the upward warp turning wheel 4, and a second rope section b extending to the second elevator unit 2 from the drive wheel 5 via the upward warp turning wheel 6. By adjusting installation positions of the upward warp turning wheels 4, 6, the positions of the belt-shaped suspension ropes and the distance between the ropes can be adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
