The invention relates to imaging technologies, in particular to non-contact mapping of absorbing chromophores (pigments) located on the object’s surface or close to it, by means of digital colour image sensor and spectrally specific illumination. Goal of the invention is to ensure fast non-contact mapping of more than three chromophores, exploiting the data of digital RGB images. It is achieved using n spectral lines for illumination of the object, where n is the number of chromophores to be mapped (n>3), at several combinations of three spectral line illumination, by capturing one RGB image at each of them with further calculation of the chromophore maps. Device implementing the method comprises several spectral line illumination sources that are swichable or can be opened/closed according to previously prepared programme by the operator unit, which ensures capturing of one RGB image at each three spectral line illumination option using the RGB image sensor with objective, as well as the image processing unit which calculates at least four chromophore distribution maps and displays them on a monitor, e.g. using the colour coding. |
