The invention relates to an adjustable pump unit (4, 22) for a positive displacement pump, in particular for an eccentric screw pump or for a rotary piston pump, that is to be adaptable to a wide variety of operating conditions and conveying tasks. To this end, according to the invention, the pump unit (4, 22), for the adjustment thereof, is formed, at least in part, of an electroactive and/or temperature-active material, and/or is coupled to or equipped with at least one electroactive and/or temperature-active means (18, 26). Preferably, parameters of the positive displacement pump are adjusted by means of a control device and an electroactive and/or temperature-active pump unit (4, 22) coupled therewith. Preferably, the elastomer body (10) or the elastomer lining (28) are formed, at least in part, of an electroactive material and/or are coupled to or equipped with an electroactive means (18, 26), and the elastomer body (10) or the lining (28) and/or the at least one electroactive means (18, 26) can be used as sensors, wherein the measuring signals thereof are transmitted to a control device of the positive displacement pump for the acquisition and/or processing of a measurement value. |
