PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ranging device which, even when mounted in a compact robot or a vehicle, etc., can measure a distance from the device to an object easily.SOLUTION: In a laser ranging device (100), an optical unit (101) projects a lattice scanning pattern (60) to an object by irradiating the object with a laser beam, a camera unit (40) photographs the projected image at that time as a photographic lattice scanning pattern (70), and a measurement unit (53) measures a distance to the object on the basis of intervals of lines represented by the photographic lattice scanning pattern (70).
