Technical solutions are described for semantic integration of wearable sensors into professional healthcare. One general aspect includes a method that includes receiving, by a communication interface, a disease identifier associated with a patient. The method also includes identifying, by an analysis unit, a measurement identifier based on the disease identifier, where the measurement identifier identifies a health parameter of the patient that is to be monitored. The method also includes receiving, by the communication interface, an anatomy identifier that identifies a body- part of the patient to be used to monitor the health parameter. The method also includes identifying, by a device search unit, a wearable device to monitor the health parameter of the patient at the body-part based on the measurement identifier and the anatomy identifier.
