摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module cover upper structure capable of preventing propagation of thermal runaway caused by re-intrusion of high-temperature gas which is discharged from a resin module cover to the outside, but re-intrudes into the battery module.SOLUTION: A box-shaped module cover upper structure 40 which is configured to have an opened bottom surface and a wall surface is mounted to cover the upper portion of a module cover 20 of one or plural battery modules 10 in which a current supply portion of a battery pack comprising plural battery cells 1 connected in series or in parallel and each pressure release valve 1b of the plural battery cells are covered by the module cover 20. The wall surface of the module cover upper structure 40 has a ceiling face 42 serving as the outer wall surface at the uppermost stage, and one or plural stages of partition walls 44 which are disposed to be spaced from one another at predetermined intervals from the ceiling face 42 to the lower side. The partition wall 44 is formed of a material which is not molten at the temperature of gas discharged from the battery cell 1, and has an opening portion 45 located above at least the pressure release valve 1b of the battery cell 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
