PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and high-power zoom lens that has high optical performance, and an imaging apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens group having positive refractive power; a second lens group having negative refractive power; a third lens group having positive refractive power; and a rear group including a lens group having negative refractive power. During zooming, distances between adjacent lens groups are changed. During zooming from a wide angle end to a telephoto end, two or more lens groups are moved among lens groups included in at least the rear group. The focal length fw of the entire system at the wide angle end, the focal length ft of the entire system at the telephoto end, a movement amount M1 on an optical axis of the first lens group during zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, and the focal length frn of a lens group Lrn that is a lens group having a shortest focal length among lens groups having negative refractive power included in the rear group are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
