The invention relates to an axle unit comprising an axle end (6) and an axle tube (2), said end (6) having a longitudinal channel (62) which extends inside the end (6) essentially longitudinally of an end axis (S). Said end (6) comprises a transverse channel (64) which extends inside the end (6) essentially transverse to the end (S) and leads to the outer surface of the end (6) in the surroundings. The longitudinal channel (62) and the transverse channel (64) are interconnected, and the end (6) comprises an end connection area (63) to which the hollow-body shaped axle tube (2) can be fixed. The invention also relates to a chassis system (1) comprising an axle end (6) and a linkage element (20), said axle end (6) being designed at least in parts, rotationally symmetrical to the end axis (S) and comprises on the outer surface thereof a first connection section (65). Said linkage element (20) extends essentially longitudinally to an arm axis and comprises an engagement section (22). Said axle end (6) can be fixed to the engagement section (22) of the linkage element (20) such that the end axis (S) is oriented transversely to the arm axis (A).
