The imaging optical system according to the present invention is provided with an APD filter arranged on a subject side relative to an aperture, and an APD filter arranged on an imaging element side relative to the aperture. The APD filters are arranged so that a peripheral part of an APD filter blocks bottom light rays among light rays incident on a first region in the top half of a light-receiving face of an imaging element and top light rays among light rays incident on a second region in the bottom half of the light-receiving face, and a peripheral part of an APD filter blocks top light rays among light rays incident on the first region and bottom light rays among light rays incident on the second region. |
