PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easy-to-introduce smart parking assist system, which assists drive operation of a driver while driving by using a portable terminal, and acts as a security device while parking.SOLUTION: A smart parking assist system 10 includes a main unit 11 having a plurality of cameras 13 and a plurality of sensors 14, and a subunit 12 having a subunit body 50 consisting of a portable terminal such as a smart phone having a monitor screen 56 and a key tag 51 transmitting a distance determination signal. When the distance between the main unit and key tag, determined by the distance determination signal, is equal to a predetermined distance or less, the smart parking assist system operates in a parking assist mode for assisting the drive operation of a driver by displaying the image on the periphery of a vehicle, captured by means of a camera, on the monitor screen, and a security mode for monitoring the situation on the periphery of a vehicle by transmitting a captured image to the subunit body is activated when the predetermined distance is exceeded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
