<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition for the scalp, which has excellent operability in application to the scalp, suppresses stickiness of the scalp and controls roughness of the hair even if attached to the hair. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition for the scalp comprises a carboxyvinyl polymer, hyaluronic acid or its derivative and a lower alcohol and has a viscosity at 25°C of 200-1,000 mPa s to solve the problem.
