The present invention relates to a coil insertion apparatus which aligns a center of an input side roll and a center of an inner diameter of a coil to coincide, and inserts the coil such that a width center of the input side roll coincides with a width center of the coil. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the coil insertion apparatus comprises: a coil car wherein the coil is placed on an upper portion thereof to insert the coil to the input side roll of a rolling facility; a detection unit which detects, in real time, at least one of an alignment state of the coil and a movement distance of the coil; and a control unit wherein at least one of a diameter, a width direction length of the input side roll, and a width direction length of the coil in advance, and transmits an operation signal to the coil car to control a placement position of the coil in accordance with at least one information of the alignment state and movement distance received in real time from the detection unit. |
