The present invention relates to a device, a method, and a recording medium for recording a driving route of a vehicle. The device for recording a driving route of a vehicle comprises: a memory in which a driving route of a vehicle is recorded; and a control unit to record locations of a starting point and an ending point of driving in the memory if the vehicle starts driving, and record only locations while the vehicle drives in a prescribed section among locations of a route between the starting and the ending point of a road in the memory. The control unit obtains the current location of the vehicle when the vehicle is in a prescribed operating condition, and records the obtained current location as the ending point of the driving route in the memory. When the driving route of the vehicle is recorded, recording of the driving route of the vehicle is started. When the vehicle stalls while the vehicle drives in a straight section, the location where the vehicle stalls is recorded as the ending point of the driving route to prevent loss of data over the entire straight section caused by loss of data of the ending point of the straight section by unexpected process ending in the straight section to increase reliability for recording of the entire driving route. |
