Provided are a display driver with low power consumption and a display method. The display driver includes a line buffer which receives first pixel data corresponding to a first line; and a controller which receives second pixel data corresponding to a second line different from the first line, receives a plurality of first pixel data from the line buffer, classifies second pixel data by transition type, based on the first pixel data and the second pixel data, calculates at least one characteristic value which indicates the characteristic of each of the transition types, and determines whether to perform the charge sharing of a channel based on the at least one characteristic value.
