An instant tent collapsible from an open configuration to a collapsed configuration is described. The instant tent includes: a frame comprising a hub and a plurality of poles extending from the hub; an outer fly having a top section and a plurality of side sections extending downwardly therefrom, the outer surface of the outer fly slidably coupled to the frame by a plurality of pole engaging assemblies. An inner tent is also included and has a top section, a plurality of side sections extending therefrom and a bottom section connecting lower portions of the side sections, the inner surface of the inner tent defining an enclosed interior of the inner tent. The instant tent also includes upper coupling assemblies, each upper coupling assembly having a first and second coupling membesr, the first coupling member first end coupled to the outer fly inner surface, the second coupling member first end coupled to the inner tent outer surface, and the second ends of coupling members are adapted to be detachably coupled to each other. The instant tent also includes lower coupling assemblies, each having an inner member; an outer member where a lower portion of the outer fly is fixedly coupled to the outer member between the inner and outer ends of the outer member; and a pole engaging member coupled to the outer member outer end, a pole orifice disposed between the ends of the pole engaging member, a lower end of a corresponding pole secured within the pole orifice; where the frame, outer fly and inner tent remain coupled together in the collapsed configuration. |
