A voltage regulator with high electric power conversion efficiency is disclosed. A voltage regulator according to the present invention comprises: first and second switches connected in parallel between an input power source and an A node; a power charger/discharger part equipped with a diode and a super capacitor connected between the A node and an L node in series; a third switch connected in parallel to the charger/discharger between the A node and the L node; a fourth switch connected between a C node which is between the super capacitor and the diode, and a ground power source; an LDO connected between the L node and a load to apply constant voltage to the load; a control unit detecting the voltage level of the A node and the L node and controlling the first, third and fourth switches. |
