Generally, the vessel contains a coalescing zone for removing at least one of hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide. |

A) combining the liquid hydrocarbon stream with a solvent comprising an alkanolamine consisting of diethanolamine, a methyl diethanolamine, or a mixture thereof, and an alkali to provide a combined stream; B) contacting the combined stream in a contacting zone to provide a contacted stream; and C) passing the contacted stream to a vessel wherein the vessel contains a coalescing zone for removing at least one of hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide. |
