Provided is a technique for preventing registration regarding event notifications to a communication apparatus from remaining in an information processing apparatus after a communication session using a direct connection between the information processing apparatus and the communication apparatus is disconnected. The information processing apparatus (an image forming apparatus) performs, when receiving from the communication apparatus (a mobile terminal) a registration request regarding an event to be notified to the mobile terminal in the case where the event occurs in the image forming apparatus, registration regarding the event in accordance with the received registration request. When a WiFi-Direct connection to a specific mobile terminal is disconnected, the image forming apparatus specifies, among registered events, an event in which that specific mobile terminal is registered as a communication destination, and cancels the registration regarding the specified event. |
