The present invention relates to a wet type gas cleaning apparatus. The wet type gas cleaning apparatus includes: a gas processing tower which is connected to a gas inlet pipe drawing in a processing target gas and a washing liquid supply pipe for processing the gas while mixing the atomized washing liquid and the processing target gas to initiate a contact and reaction therebetween; and an ultrasonic wave generation unit which generates an ultrasonic wave in the gas processing tower to atomize the washing liquid supplied to the gas processing tower while setting an ultrasonic wave frequency area according to the type, concentration, composition, particle size, and temperature conditions of the washing liquid.
