The present invention relates to a method for producing citric acid using a microorganism of a genus Aspergillus, a method for producing a mutated microorganism for the production of citric acid, and the microorganism of the genus Aspergillus mutated thereby. The microorganism of the genus Aspergillus, which is mutated after adjusting to methanol, can remarkably enhance productivity of citric acid in the presence of high-concentration methanol.
