摘要 The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring a channel quality in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system. The method of measuring the channel quality of a receiver in the MIMO system, the method comprising: measuring a first signal to interference noise ratio (SINR) through a first detector about each of many spatial hierarchies by using a channel estimation value of a receiving signal and measuring a second SINR about each of the spatial hierarchies by using the channel estimation value of the receiving signal when the spatial hierarchies exist independently; determining a log likelihood ratio (LLR) of receiving data through a second detector about each of the spatial hierarchies; and generating channel quality information through the second detector based on the first SINR, the second SINR and the LLR about each of the spatial hierarchies. Therefore, more accurate channel quality indicator (CQI) can be calculated.
