The present invention discloses a method and device for controlling display of applications on a vehicle console screen using a multipoint touch apparatus, comprising: displaying a first application in a first region on the vehicle console screen; when a first gesture operation is detected on the multipoint touch apparatus, displaying the first application in a first subregion in the first region on the vehicle console screen and displaying a second application in a second subregion in the first region, wherein the second application has a predefined corresponding relationship with the first gesture operation and a direction of the first gesture operation; and maintaining the display of the first application and the second application in the first subregion and the second subregion, and receiving touch operations for the first application and the second application in regions on the multipoint touch apparatus corresponding to the first subregion and the second subregion, respectively, and resuming the display of the first application in the first region on the vehicle console screen when a second gesture operation is detected on the multipoint touch apparatus. |
