PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilization matrix and solid compositions using sugars.SOLUTION: A solidification matrix comprises: (a) a sugar selected from the group consisting of a monosaccharide, a disaccharide, a sugar alcohol, and mixtures thereof; (b) a carbonate; and (c) water. The solidification matrix is a hydrate salt. If heated to a temperature of 120°F, the solidification matrix is dimensionally stable and has a growth exponent of less than 3%. A solid detergent composition comprises particular proportions of the components described above. If heated to a temperature of 120°F, the composition is dimensionally stable and has a growth exponent of less than 3%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
