Disclosed are a fingerprint detection device and method. The fingerprint detection device comprises an acquisition module and a processing module, the acquisition module being used for acquiring fingerprint information and generating a fingerprint detection signal, and the processing module being used for processing the fingerprint detection signal and generating fingerprint image data. The processing module comprises a frequency mixer, the frequency mixer being used for performing quadrature mixing and low-pass filtering processing on the fingerprint detection signal, and converting the fingerprint detection signal from an AC signal to a DC signal. Hence, the bandwidth of the fingerprint detection signal is reduced, a noise in the fingerprint detection signal is filtered out, a signal-to-noise ratio is improved, the sensitivity of fingerprint detection is enhanced, the anti-interference capacity is enhanced, and then the adaptation of the fingerprint detection device to an application environment is enhanced. |
