PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding apparatus and a molding method by means of which a yield when a sheet glass is molded is improved.SOLUTION: An apparatus for molding a sheet glass is provided that comprises a conveyor 9, a correlation storage part 34, a speed information detection part 36, a temperature detection part 21, a cooling mechanism 16, and a refrigerant supply amount control part 37. The conveyor 9 conveys a molten glass which flows out of a melting furnace, and the correction storage part 34 prestores correlation between a differential temperature representing a difference between an adjustment target temperature and an actual temperature of the conveyor 9, and the volume amount of a refrigerant determined according to the value of the differential temperature. The speed information detection part 36 detects speed information corresponding to a conveyance speed of the conveyor 9. The temperature detection part 21 detects the temperature of the conveyor 9. The cooling mechanism 16 supplies the refrigerant to the conveyor 9 having its temperature detected and cools the conveyor. On the basis of detected temperature and speed information and the stored correlation, the refrigerant supply amount control part 37 controls a supply amount of the refrigerant per unit time supplied by the cooling mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
