An insulation material and a method for producing the same are provided. The insulation material comprises: thermosetting foam; and an air permeable cotton material buried in the thermosetting foam. The purpose of one embodiment of the present invention is to provide an insulation material having excellent insulation properties and economic efficiency, and making better use of a space.
