Provided is a medical device advancement/retraction apparatus which is capable of pressing a medical device against a biological tissue with an optimum force. This medical device advancement/retraction apparatus (5) advances or retracts a measuring probe (3) with respect to a treatment tool insertion opening (201), the measuring probe (3) being a medical device used by being inserted into the treatment tool insertion opening (201) of an endoscopic device (21). The medical device advancement/retraction apparatus (5) comprises a rotational member (521) which rotates in contact with the measuring probe (3) so as to advance or retract the measuring probe (3) with respect to the treatment tool insertion opening (201) according to a direction of rotation. The movement of the measuring probe (3) upon advancement is less than the movement of the measuring probe (3) upon retraction if the rotational member (521) rotates by the same rotational angle. |
