The main part of a cutting apparatus is a cutting wheel (4), which is mounted in the cutting apparatus frame (1) behind cutting rollers (2) and insertion rollers (3), with the movement of which its is synchronized. The cutting wheel (4) comprises a hub (41) and a tire (42) with at least one knife (43) attached thereto wherein the knife (43) spans a hollow space (44) extending between the hub (41) and the tire (42). The cutting wheel (4) is strapped by a driving belt (7), preferably of flat design, which encircles a driving wheel (71) being keyed onto a lay shaft (72). The movement is transmitted from a torque source (6) to the lay shaft (72) by a system of a driving endless transmission element (54) and a master endless transmission element (53), where both the elements (54, 53) are preferably represented by wedge-shaped belts. |
