A communication apparatus comprises: a communication means configured to communicate with a first other apparatus connectable to a second other apparatus; an acquisition means configured to acquire state information which indicates that a relay function of the first other apparatus is valid or not using the communication unit; and a request means configured to request the first other apparatus to start the relay function by using the communication unit based on the state information. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology for reducing unnecessary communication traffic as a communication apparatus using a relay function of an external relay apparatus is connected to a network by requesting an appropriate relay apparatus to start the relay function. |
