A robot cleaner comprises a body 12 and a sensor or camera 13 protruding from a top surface 15 of the body 12, wherein the body 12 comprises a protrusion 14 positioned forward of the sensor 13 relative to a forward driving direction of the robot cleaner, the protrusion 14 extending to a height that is at least equal to the height of the sensor 13. The protrusion 14 may comprise two stages, a lower stage (21, fig 3) extending to a height that is at least equal to the height of the top surface 15 of the body 12, and an upper stage 22 extending to a height that is at least equal to the height of the sensor 13. The body 12 preferably includes a separating apparatus part 16 that is removable from the remainder of the body 12 and the protrusion 14 is provided on the separating apparatus part 16. |
