The invention relates to the production of furniture, and more specifically to mechanisms for converting articles of soft furniture, and can be used in sofa or bed structures. The converting mechanism comprises two hinged elements with multiple members, said hinged elements being connected by a bar and each being comprised of a supporting member and an upper platform member, an intermediate platform member and a lower platform member for attachment to the sleeping sections. The platform members are interconnected by means of two rotatable members in the form of angle levers, each of which is hingedly connected by an angular part to the supporting member, by an end portion of a short arm to the lower platform member, and by a medium arm to the intermediate platform member, wherein the end portions of a long arm of each angle lever are hingedly connected to the upper platform member. The mechanism can additionally be equipped with a support for the intermediate platform member and with a supporting roller which is mounted on the lower platform member. An unloading device of the mechanism is preferably in the form of a tension spring which is connected to the short arm of a rotatable member. |
