The present invention relates to a system and a method for reserving a per-flow bandwidth in an openflow switch. For a bandwidth reserving system to reserve a bandwidth in an openflow switch, a controller generates a flow table entry with respect to a first flow if a request message for reserving a bandwidth with respect to the first flow is received. A request message for adding a flow entry with respect to the first flow is transmitted to a switch, and the switch updates a flow table based on the received request message for adding a flow entry. The controller transmits a request message for reserving a bandwidth with respect to the first flow to the switch, and the switch checks whether or not a bandwidth can be reserved based on the request message for reserving a bandwidth. Subsequently, the switch reserves a bandwidth and transmits a message for confirming the reservation of the bandwidth to the controller if a bandwidth can be reserved with respect to the first flow. |
