PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston whose heat radiation property can be improved, and a piston manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A piston 11 comprises a piston body 16, and a wear resistant ring 17 molded in the piston body 16. A top ring groove 13 is formed on an outer periphery 11S of the piston 11, and the wear resistant ring 17 is exposed on a groove side face 13S blocking the top ring groove 13 on the outer periphery 11S. The piston body 16 is exposed on a groove bottom face 13B blocking the top ring groove 13 on the outer periphery 11S. The wear resistant ring 17 is exposed at a portion of the groove bottom face 13B communicated from the groove side face 13S. |
