A recording head including: a supporting member including a depression and a peripheral portion in the periphery of the depression; a recording element substrate having an ejection port surface provided with an ejection port opening therein and arranged in the depression; and a tape adhered to the ejection port surface, wherein when viewing the recording head from above in a direction vertical to the ejection port surface, the recording element substrate and the peripheral portion are at least partly apart from each other via a groove, which is part of the depression, and the tape includes a portion located on the peripheral portion and a portion located on the groove at one lateral end thereof.

1. A recording head comprising:
a supporting member including a depression and a peripheral portion in the periphery of the depression; a recording element substrate having an ejection port surface provided with an ejection port opening therein and arranged in the depression; and a tape adhered to the ejection port surface, wherein when viewing the recording head from above in a direction vertical to the ejection port surface, the recording element substrate and the peripheral portion are at least partly apart from each other via a groove, which is part of the depression, and the tape includes a first edge and a second edge, which face each other, and a third edge connecting the first edge and the second edge, the first edge and the second edge extending along a short direction of the recording element substrate, the third edge including a portion located on the peripheral portion and a portion located on the groove.
