The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recycling byproducts of a smelting process. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a leaching vessel which leaches return fines; an oxidation vessel which is sequentially arranged after the leaching vessel and oxidizes divalent ferrous compound generated from the leaching vessel; a supply pump to supply trivalent ferrous compound obtained through oxidation of the divalent ferrous compound inside the oxidation vessel; and a supply pipe connected to the supply pump and the leaching vessel. Provided is the method for recycling byproducts of smelting process, which has a simple process and has low costs of installation while having high stability. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for recycling byproducts of smelting process produces FeCl_3 and Fe_2O_3 via oxidation reaction of FeCl_2 to recover Fe_2O_3 while reusing FeCl_3 to a preceding leaching process.
