An operating device includes: an operating member; a rotation detecting unit; a capacitance detecting unit; a display unit; a storage unit; and a controller. In a case where the capacitance detecting unit detects a switch from presence of contact between the operating member and a finger of an operator to absence of the contact therebetween in a state where a rotational speed detected by the rotation detecting unit is a predetermined rotational speed or higher, the controller allows a scroll display of a plurality of display items to automatically continue regardless of a rotation state of the operating member after a timing of the switch. |
