The present invention relates to a method for providing a client terminal in a public PC use environment with a user customized synchronization service which can provide a synchronization solution optimized for a user as an individual even in the public PC use environment. The method comprises: (a) a step in which a local server transmits synchronization policy information including positional information on an area in the client terminal where data to be synchronized is stored, to a client agent; (b) a step in which the client agent requests, based on the synchronization policy information, final synchronized data, which may correspond to the data to be synchronized and is stored in the local server; and (c) a step in which the client agent receives the final synchronized data from the local server and, when the final synchronized data and the data to be synchronized are not identical to each other, synchronizes the client terminal. The method and the system according to the present invention are capable of: universally providing a PC environment optimized for the individual by synchronizing the intrinsic data to the individual even in the public PC use environment where the individual cannot store private data because a hard disk drive security program or a PC initializing solution is used in the environment; and having scalability by providing a personalized cloud service even in large-scale Internet cafes which shift their systems to systems without hard disks. |
