PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber and an absorbent article, capable of compatibly achieving a high absorption amount and a low liquid remaining amount in repetitive absorption of excretion liquid.SOLUTION: An absorber 10 has hydrophilic fibers and a water absorptive polymer, and includes a recessed part 11 with a depth of not less than 20% but not more than 100% of the thickness of the absorber. A mass ratio represented by [mass of the hydrophilic fibers]/[mass of the water absorptive polymer] in the absorber 10 is not less than 1/5 but not more than 1/0.01. The water absorptive polymer, in a swelling magnification of 60% or less, has a passage speed of artificial urine 40 g under the pressurization of 2 kPa, of 100 g/min or less. |
