<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: since, in such control that a welding current is reduced when predetermined time to discriminate a long-term short circuit elapses from when short circuit occurs, and a wire tip end is separated from a base material by backward feed to regenerate an arc, wire feed conditions immediately after the arc is generated from the short circuit differ from each other in that the arc is generated by forward feed and the arc is generated by the backward feed, it is difficult to ensure a regularly stable arc condition and a uniform bead width. <P>SOLUTION: This method for controlling arc welding performs short-circuit welding by performing the forward feed and backward feed of a welding wire. In a short circuit period, the welding wire is fed forward during a first predetermined period from when the short circuit occurs, and the welding wire is fed backward after lapse of the first predetermined period. In an arc period, the welding wire is fed forward. Welding is performed by alternately repeating feed control over the welding wire during the short circuit period and feed control over the wire during the arc period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
