PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection system that can minimize waste of energy to perform projection of a bright image even when projecting a digital signage image onto a non landscape-oriented screen with a vertically long side and the like.SOLUTION: A projection device 10 has: control means that forms data on a projection image in which an auxiliary image having a main image duplicated and reversed is lined up with the main image with input image data used as data on the main image; a display element that forms image light of the projection image; and a projection optical system that irradiates a screen device 70 with the image light. The screen device 70 has: a screen 71; and video superimposition mirrors 73 and 74 that cross the screen in an end of the screen, and are arranged at the back of the screen. The screen is irradiated with a part of the image light, and other part of the image light is reflected by the video superimposition mirror. An image projection system is configured to superimpose the auxiliary image by the reflected image light on the main image, and display the auxiliary image and the main image on the screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
