PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variation in detection results of a multi-feeding state of record sheets by multi-feeding detection means even though a transport path in which the record sheets are transported has a curvature, in a record sheet transport device and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device 10 comprises: an ultrasonic sensor 50 (a transmitter 51 and a receiver 52) which detects the multi-feeding state in which two or more sheets P are overlapped and transported in a transport passage 20 having a curvature; and pressing means 60 which stabilizes an inclination angle &thetas; of a portion T of the sheets P where the multi-feeding state is detected by the ultrasonic sensor 50 with respect to the ultrasonic sensor 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
