PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of satisfactorily keeping operability of an operation part with an inexpensive configuration while shortening the length of a suction hose and reducing air passage resistance.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner is provided with a handle part 40 which is slidably fitted along a longitudinal direction of a suction pipe 30 and can adjust a distance from a suction head 50 in an extendable and contractable manner. The handle part is provided with a handle base 40A which can be slidably engaged with the suction pipe and a handle cover 40B covering the handle base. In a state that a cover 30C below a pipe whose tip side is fixed to the suction pipe is arranged between the handle base and the handle cover and a flat cable 64 is housed in a space formed between the cover below the pipe and the handle base, a plurality of locking claws 48 projectingly formed in either the handle base 40A or the handle cover 40B along the longitudinal direction are engaged with a plurality of engaging parts formed in the other respectively, and both of them are fixed so as not to be separated from one another.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
